MyFieldTracker 2.03

MyFieldTracker provides a comprehensive solution for forestry management, integrating critical mapping and tracking functionalities. The platform supports ArcGIS Maps and Geometry, allowing users to incorporate existing map data—including layers, boundaries, and attributes—to accurately define harvesting zones, stream boundaries, and other designated areas.

The application is compatible with standard Wi-Fi only iPads (cell support is anticipated in future releases) and does not require cellular connectivity once the maps are downloaded. Additionally, it offers support for Garmin and Bad-Elf GPS boosters to enhance location accuracy during operations.

Real-time boundary alerts are a notable feature, enabling operators to receive both visual and audio notifications when approaching or entering predefined areas. Boundaries can also include specific notes, such as "Cut only 6-inch trees and larger," facilitating compliance with operational guidelines.

Operator and machine tracking functionalities allow for situational awareness across the team. Users can monitor the movement of machinery, with options to display only selected tracks, and assess the extent of area processed during operations.

The system facilitates marking obstacles and areas of interest by operators, with notes visible to all team members. This feature is useful for tracking swampy zones, creek crossings, and other noteworthy sites.

Measuring distances and areas directly on the map is straightforward, aiding in planning and evaluating harvesting zones. Furthermore, individual operator tracking combined with data sharing enhances coordinated efforts across field teams.
